IN PICTURES: Fans line out to support Limerick teams in ladies derby final

HUGE CROWDS turned out to watch the local derby final between Ballylanders and Mungret regional ladies team in the Lyons of Limerick division two cup game.

Neither side could find the opening goal in the first-half with both teams having plenty of chances in attack.

It was Ballylanders who opened the scoring from a corner kick from captain Maria Croinin whose cross found the head of the inrushing Briodhna Lee who sent the ball to the back of the Mungret net in the 55th minute.

This was to be the deciding score of the game with Mungret unable to find an answer leaving Ballylanders with the victory.
