Cyclists ascending Patrick's Hill in Cork City in the 2022 Tour De Munster
LIMERICK will be one of the major stops on the Tour de Munster route as 100s of cyclists take on a 600km trek in aid of the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI).
This will be the 23rd year of the Tour since its inception in 2001 and the event has raised over €4 million for its beneficiaries.
The cycle begins on August, 10 with the first stage taking place between Cork and Killaloe.
Limerick’s stop will feature on the first day as cyclists are expected to be at King John’s Castle between 5:50-6:20pm.
The route then continues on for a further three days before finishing back in Cork after travelling through every county in Munster.
Each family involved with the Munster branch of DSI adopts a cyclist for the tour to connect with the riders and meet them at the various stops.
