Treaty United's Darren Nwankwo in action against Filip Fjeldheim Da Silva, of Finn Harps, during the SSE Airtricity League First Division game at the Markets Field last month
TREATY United will look to get their SSE Airtricity League First Division promotion play-off bid back on track today, Bank Holiday Monday, as Wexford FC visit the Markets Field, 7.45pm.
Tommy Barrett's Treaty United side, who have been hit with a number of injuries to key players, will be looking to end a three game losing run in the league in tonight's game.
Treaty, who are in the middle of a hectic run of three game sin seven days, suffered a heavy 7-0 defeat away at high-flying Waterford FC at the RSC on Friday night last.
The last three games have seen Treaty concede a total of 13 goals. At the other end of the pitch, Treaty failed to score in any of those three fixtures.
Prior to that run, Treaty had won their four previous fixtures on the spin against Kerry FC, Bray Wanderers, Athlone Town and Longford Town.
Tonight's visit of Wexford gives Treaty an opportunity to bounce back from Friday's heavy defeat at Waterford. Seventh-placed Treat currently sit one place and two points behind sixth-placed Wexford in the First Division table.
Treaty are currently four points off the last of the promotion play-off places. Just five points separate the sides placed between fourth and ninth spot in the table.
The game against Wexford is the first of two league fixtures Treaty will play at the Markets Field this week as Munster rivals Cobh Ramblers visit the Garryowen venue this Friday night, 7.45pm.
The league will then take a two-week break with Treaty resuming their programme of league games against Athlone Town on Friday, June 23.
