RATHKEALE club St Mary’s-Sean Finns claimed the Limerick JFC title for the first time in 20 years last weekend when they got the better of Glin in Foynes on a scoreline of 1-11 to 0-9.
A first-half goal from Paul White helped them to a 1-3 to 0-3 lead at the break. And the stretched clear in the second half as county star Eoghan O’Connor led from the front with seven points.
Captain Keith Hartnett lifted the trophy amid joyous scenes after and the Rathkeale club now go on to play Tipperary champions Kildangan in the Munster championship on Friday night.
