Junior Update: All at Ballykisteen Golf Club would like to congratulate our junior member Gordon Sillett on being selected on the Irish U16 team to compete in the upcoming Quadrangular Matches taking place at Kennemer Golf Club in the Netherlands on April 5th and 6th. Best wishes Gordon and the Irish team from everyone in Ballykisteen.
Spring League 2023: The Final of this year’s Spring League kindly sponsored by Pat Ryan Heating and Plumbing took place last Sunday 2nd April. The winners were team (6) Pat Ryan, Frankie Nolan, Joe Johnson and John Ryan Luigi with a score of 111pts. This was a tremendous score as only 3 of the team played. In second with 107pts (on countback) was Philip O Doherty, Peter Pearl, Diarmuid O Holloran and James Power and in third were Michael Fitzgerald, Desmond Ryan Brian Fitzgerald and Patrick Doyle.
Again we would like to thank all 27 teams who played in this year’s competition and hopefully we’ll see them again plus more to play in our Summer Challenge league kindly sponsored by Lynch Plant and Rail Services Monard . This competition will be the same format as Spring League with qualifying rounds starting on 8th May and finishing on 2nd July. The Grand Final will take place on 9th July. Teams will have 8 weeks to play 6 qualifying rounds with top 3 scores counting. Plus each team can play 2 rounds in one week if required (only once).

Outing: Galbally Golf Society had their first society outing of 2023 last Saturday in Dundrum Golf Club. The outing was Charlie McCarthy’s President’s prize. We had a fine turnout with 26 players & despite the rain last week, Dundrum was in great shape & as always playing tough.
