New Treaty Utd signing Colin Kelly in action for Bohemians against James Abankwaa, of St Patrick's Athletic, in the SSE Airtricity U19 National League final in 2020
TREATY United has announced the signing of Colin Kelly ahead of the start of the new SSE Airtricity League First Division season this weekend.
Colin Kelly joins Treaty United having spent the second half of last season with Bray Wanderers where he grabbed a goal and an assist in seven appearances for the seagulls.
The Galwegian started his football career with Mervue United before moving on to the Galway United academy and eventually the first-team. Across two spells with the club Colin made 26 appearances with two goals and an assist to his name
In 2020, Kelly was teammates with Colin Conroy at under-19 level for Bohemian FC. Kelly scored in the league final that year, but it wasn’t enough as they finished runners up to a St Patrick’s Athletic side that featured Andy Spain and Success Edogun.
He will now link up with all three players ahead of the season commencing this Friday when Treaty United face his old club Bray Wanderers at the Markets Field, 7.45pm.
Speaking to the Treaty United Media Team, Colin Kelly said he was delighted to have signed up for the new season: “I’m delighted to have signed for Treaty United. It’s a great close-knit squad and I know I can contribute to the group. I can’t wait to get going and play in the Markets Field.”
