Joel Coustrain bagged a hat-trick in Aisling Annacotty's Tuohy Cup semi-final win over Thursday evening
Tuohy Cup Semi Final:
Aisling Annacotty 4 Carew Park 0
AISLING Annacotty qualified for the final of the Premier League’s Tuohy Cup following an impressive 4-0 win over Carew Park on Thursday evening.
Pike Rvs or Charleville will now provide the opposition for Aisling Annacotty in the final.
The Annacotty have been in fine form since before Christmas and there was a buzz about them again as they overwhelmed Carew Park from the off.
Carew are struggling with injuries and a number of players had to take the field, despite not declaring fully fit. Unfortunately they met a speedy Aisling side who exploited these deficits.
Aisling took the lead when a superb ball from Michael Green found Theo Joyce who centred for Joel Coustrain to score the first of a hat trick on the night.
Richkov Boevi scored number two shortly after when Carew were guilty of ball watching as Riordan set up the chance.
It was 3-0 before the break when Joyce again picked out Coustrain in the area and he turned two defenders before drilling low to the net.
Carew battled hard after the break, but it was only a containing exercise. They nearly held out but in the dying minutes Coustrain raced clear to past a helpless Evan Moloney to complete the scoring.
