Ireland’s favourite summer festival, Riverfest Limerick is back with a splash this May bank holiday weekend, Friday 2nd to Monday 5th May!
With a whole raft of on-the-water and riverside events taking place, we’ve rounded up just some of the experiences not to be missed during the four day festival.

Arthur’s Quay Park becomes the beating heart of Limerick City throughout the four-day festival as it transforms into Riverfestival Village.

3. Soar sky high on the Panoramic Wheel
Take your Riverfest Limerick celebrations to new heights. Get ready to soar above the city and take in stunning 360 degree views across Limerick’s skyline! The spectacular Panoramic Wheel is back offering breathtaking views of the cityscape and neighbouring counties beyond. Sky-high fun for all the family!

4. Unleash your inner daredevil at Adrenaline Freefall
Take a leap at Riverfest Limerick and enjoy the ultimate land-based free-fall experience at Adrenaline Freefall! Jump into action from an adrenaline-pumping 3 metre and 6 metre towers onto a giant airbag below. No harness, no ropes – just pure heart-pounding excitement!

5. Get fired up for the ultimate BBQ showdown
Nothing says summer quite like the delicious sizzle of charcoal-flamed BBQ food! Time to turn up the heat, and the flavour, as grill seekers unite at Riverfest Limerick to compete at the National All-Ireland BBQ Competition on Howley’s Quay.
There’ll be some smokin’ hot sizzling fare on offer, so head to the quays and get the taste buds tingling! The steaks may be high, but so is the fun!

6. Eyes to the skies for fantastical fireworks
Little can rival the exhilaration of watching a cascade of colours zig-zagging through the night sky! Watch as Limerick’s skyline transforms into a dazzling display of fantastic colour with a fabulous fireworks extravaganza – always a crowd-pleaser and a fitting finale to Sunday’s festivities!

7. Get your fashion fix at Fashionfest
Join Ireland’s queen of style, Celia Holman Lee for a glamorous evening of fashion and flair where style takes centre stage.
Limerick’s renowned Holman-Lee Agency hosts Fashionfest, a night of style and elegance, at one of the city’s most historic and innovative buildings, Gardens International. The runway show includes stunning collections and latest trends from the best of Limerick’s fashion houses and designers.

8. Enjoy DJ beats on the street
Party mode activated! Continue the festive atmosphere after hours at the epic Riverfest Street Party on
Howley’s Quay. Limerick’s scenic riverfront will become an outdoor party area with infectious beats to get you on your feet! Dance, laugh, and soak in the fun-filled atmosphere – it's a party you won't want to miss!

9. Gaze at amazing aerial acrobatics
Get ready for a mesmerising performance as Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre take flight through the night skies with their magical tale The Dreaming Heart – a fantastic fusion of aerial circus, spectacular special effects, music and fire!

10. Soak up celebratory vibes at the Regeneron Great Limerick Run
The streets of Limerick will be thronged with walkers, recreational runners and seasoned marathoners for the Regeneron Great Limerick Run, with thousands taking part in the marathon, half marathon and six mile events on Sunday 4th May.
Race participants can expect to be met with resounding cheer from the spectator-lined streets creating an electric atmosphere in the city. If you’re not running, then get yourself to O’Connell Street to big up the participants as they proudly pass the finish line!
