The Essilor’s Visioffice System (pictured below) is the latest addition to their personalised patient care at Glasshouse Opticians
Glasshouse Opticians, Jetland Centre are delighted to introduce Essilor’s Visioffice System as the latest addition to their personalised patient care.
At Glasshouse Opticians we pride ourselves on our personalised patient care and we have taken our commitment to individualised service a step further with the addition of this revolutionary new eye-care equipment.
Essilor Visioffice (below) is an all-in-one optical measuring device that provides precise fitting measurements for individualised lenses.
Essilor – a history of excellence
Essilor is the world’s largest manufacturer of ophthalmic lenses as well as the leader in cutting edge lens research and development. For example, in 1959 Essilor developed Varilux, the first progressive eyeglass lens.
Today, Essilor brand names include Varilux, Transitions, Eyezen and Crizal.
From this tradition of R & D excellence, the Visioffice digital lens measuring system was created; an all-encompassing system that provides every possible parameter required to measure and fit modern ophthalmic lenses – with extreme accuracy and consistency.
Only available to eye-care professionals with the Visioffice System
Visioffice takes all the standard eye measurements with greater accuracy, such as pupil distance and lens centration placement as well as behavioural measurements that cannot be done by hand. This revolutionary new device measures the 3D position of the eye’s rotation centre and the individual’s performing characteristics such as how much heads tilt and how much eyes move, or heads turn to view objects.
The result of all of this information is the creation of exclusive Eyecode™ high-definition lenses, which are available only to eye-care professionals with the Visioffice System.
These state of the art high-definition lenses are customised to the wearer based on those frame-fitting characteristics, position-of-wear measurements and performing characteristics.
The difference that Visioffice and Eyecode™ lenses can make
The advantages Eyecode™ high-definition lenses receive from the Visioffice measurements include: larger fields of view (especially through the distance area) due to less distortion at the sides of the lenses, smoother translation into the reading area (creating a more natural flow from the distance zone into the near zone), improved edge definition and contrast (so objects appear sharper and crisper) and enhanced depth-perception.
Visioffice can also be used to personalise anti-fatigue lenses
Today’s single-vision patients are looking for more from their lenses. Not only sharp vision, but solutions for the eye health challenges that come with a modern, digital lifestyle.
That’s where Eyezen®+ lenses come in. It’s true that Eyezen+ lenses provide sharper vision than any ordinary single vision lens. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. They are designed to reduce visual fatigue from digital screens and filter blue-violet light.
Simply put, Eyezen+ lenses are a more complete vision solution than traditional single vision lenses. Plus, they’re available in five levels of accommodative relief, which makes them the perfect fit for single vision patients of every age.
A word from Glasshouse Opticians owner / optometrist
Marese Coakley, optometrist and owner of Glasshouse Opticians, is delighted to incorporate this new technology into her practice.
“Visioffice allows technology to adjust lenses based on each patient’s frame and eye behaviour. Visioffice electronically scans a patient’s eye movements and rotation and helps to calculate the power adjustments needed for lenses to become customised. It is excellent for any type but is especially suited for both anti-fatigue (EyeZen) and varifocal lens wearers.”
