The death has occurred of Michael Noonan, Knocklyon, Clonmacken, Limerick City, Limerick

Knocklyon, Clonmacken, Ennis Road, Limerick and formerly of Gerald Griffin Street, Clonmorris Services and Noonan Engineering.

On April 6th 2024, at Athlunkard Nursing Home, surrounded by his family.

Very deeply regretted by his sons Michael and Patrick, brother Des, grandchildren Hannah and Ryan, daughter-in-law Catherine, sister-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Tuesday, April 9th, from 3.30pm to 5.00pm.

Funeral will arrive on Wednesday, April 10th, at St. Michael's Church, Denmark Street, for Requiem Mass at 11am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (old) Cemetery.

Gerard (Gerry) O'Connell, (Wolfe Tone Street, Limerick). April 7th 2024, aged 93 years, peacefully at University Hospital Limerick, following a short illness.

A free spirit, he will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those privileged to be counted as his friends.

Reposing at Thompson's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Limerick out Tuesday (9th April) 2024 from 11.00am to 12 midday, followed by cremation service at Shannon Crematorium at 1 pm.

The death has occurred of Timothy (Ted) McGrath, Shannon Banks, Corbally, Limerick / Clare

Shannon Banks, Corbally, Limerick and formerly of Aer Rianta Fire Service (C.A.S.O), United Drug, Shelbourne A.F.C. and Young Munster R.F.C.

Ted died on April 6th 2024, in the exceptional care of the H.D.U. Staff in University Hospital Limerick and also ward 7A.

Much loved husband of Breda and dearly loved father of Hugh, Brid, Ailish and Donal.

Deeply missed by his brother Denis, sisters-in-law, daughter-in-law Miriam, grandchildren Jamie, Ellen, Stan, Kara, Zehra-Marie, Jake and Sandy, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours, colleagues and many friends.

Reposing at Cross's Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, on Wednesday, April 10th, from 3pm to 5pm, followed by removal to St. Nicholas' Church, Westbury, Corbally.

Requiem Mass on Thursday, April 11th, at 11am, funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (extension) Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Peig (Margaret) Lynch (née Kenny) Rathfredagh, Castlemahon, Limerick

Rathfredagh, Castlemahon, Co. Limerick.

Peig passed away peacefully on 7th April 2024 at University Hospital Limerick, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her sister Mary and brother Sean.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Bill, daughters Geraldine and Marion, sons John, Liam and Ray, sons-in-law Vincent and Liam, daughters-in-law Julie, Lorraine and Louise, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Jim, sisters-in-law Anne, Nora and Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Sextons Funeral Home, Broadford on Wednesday, 10th April, from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral arriving at St. John the Baptist Church, Castlemahon on Thursday, 11th April, for Requiem Mass at 11.30am, which will be live-streamed (link to follow).

Burial afterwards in Castlemahon Cemetery.

Muriel Eleanor Fraser, (Ashbrook, Ennis Road, Limerick. Formerly of Killucan, Co. Westmeath.) April 7th 2024 peacefully at Riverdale House Nursing Home.

Beloved wife of the late Jack. Dearly loved mother of Gwen. Sadly missed by her loving nephews and nieces John, Edward, Laura, Jean and Claire and their families, neighbours and friends.

Arriving at All Saints Church, Castleconnell on Wednesday (10th April) for Funeral Service at 3pm followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Thou art gone up before us Lord to prepare a place that we may be where now Thou art and see thee face to face.

The death has occurred of Donie (Daniel) Daly, Gortnagark, Tullylease, Cork / Dromcollogher, Limerick

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Donie (Daniel) Daly who passed away peacefully on 7th April 2024 surrounded by his loving family at home after a long illness bravely borne and courageously battled with dignity and grace.

Predeceased by his mother Joan, father Dan, and brother-in-law Joe. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, sister Marie (Weathers) brothers Gerard, John and Michael, sisters-in-law Mary and Kathy, nieces and nephews, Joan and Frank (Justice), Meg and Neil (Galvin), Elaine, Denise, Danny and Amy (Weathers) and Michael Daly, grandnephew Josh, grandniece Emily, extended family, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at McCarthy's Funeral Home, North Rd., Dromocllogher (P56T624) on Tuesday, April 9th, from 6pm to 8pm, followed by removal to St Bartholomew's Church, Dromocllogher.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am, followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium at 2pm. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu to Marymount Hospice and The Daffodil Foundation.

The death has occurred of Sr. Joseph Deegan, Limerick / Dublin

Deegan, Sr. Joseph, (Rita) Good Shepherd Convent, Pennywell Road, Limerick , 6th April 2024 (peacefully) in her 103rd year, in the tender care of the staff in Beechlawn Nursing Home, Dublin.

Predeceased by her parents and five siblings(including her Good Shepherd sister, Sr. Dolores), her niece, three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law. Deeply regretted by her nieces Anne, Mary, Audrey, Eithne, Marion and Clodagh, her Good Shepherd Sisters in Ireland, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Kenya, her relatives, and friends.

The death has occurred of Sister Enda (Mena) Ryan, Galbally, Limerick

The death has taken place of Datin Paduka (Dr) Sister Enda (Mena) Ryan of The Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and formerly of The Square, Galbally, Co Limerick who passed away peacefully on April 7th 2024.

Founder and former principal of Assunta secondary school, Kuala Lumpar.

Pre-deceased by her sisters Ann (Danaher) and Sr. Kathleen of Holy Faith Sisters. Beloved sister of Breeda Christie, (Tipperary Town) Fr Diarmuid, OFM (Multyfarnham Friary) Tim (Galbally) and Dr Michael (Dublin).

Sadly missed by her loving family, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews,relatives, her FMM sisters and community in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, and all her past pupils and friends especially Debbie Steiner.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Sr. Enda on Thursday April 11th 2024 in The Church of the King, Galbally at 12noon

The death has occurred of Margaret (Marjorie) O'Connell (née Kenneally) Castlematrix, Rathkeale, Limerick / Glanmire, Cork

Marjorie late of Richmond House Glanmire. Peacefully at Milford Care Centre, Limerick with her family by her side.

Predeceased by her sister Helena and brother Declan.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband Jeremiah (Derry), children Carmel, Dermot, David, Kieran and Helen, grandchildren Arron, Richard, Hugh, Declan, Ronan, Finley, brothers Michael, John, Christopher, sister Kay, nephews, nieces, daughters-in-law Alison, Anita, Kimm, sisters-in-law Maura, Bridie, Mary, brother-in-law John, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Marjorie will repose at Magner's Funeral Home Rathkeale (V94H977) on Wednesday 10th April from 6-7.30p.m.

Requiem Mass at St. Mary's Church Rathkeale at 11a.m on Thursday followed by burial afterwards at St. Joseph's cemetery Little Island, Co. Cork. (T45 HR53)

Noreen Sheehan (Nee Drislane) Acres, Milford, Co Cork and formerly of Tournafulla, Co Limerick, passed away peacefully in St Martha's Nursing Home, Charleville, Co Cork on April 8th 2024, in the presence of her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Seán. Sadly missed by her daughters Sandra and Marian, grandchildren Saoirse and Jude, sisters Joan, Mary Anne and Bridget and her brother William, son-in-law Timothy Ahern, and Sandra 's partner Rodney O Callaghan, mother-in-law Margaret, brothers-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at McCarthy's Funeral Home North Rd, Dromcollogher, (P56T624) on Wednesday from 7pm to 8pm, followed by removal to St Berichert's Church Tullylease.

Requiem Mass on Thursday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Tullylease New Cemetery.
