Leah Hannon in action for Ireland recently
The Ireland Women's U16 side travelled to Prague earlier this month where they played Czechia in two competitive friendly matches.
Among those on the plane to Prague was Limerick's and Bohemian midfielder Leah Hannon.
Leah has played soccer since a very young age and she started her journey with her brother Dion at Geraldines AFC.
She was the only girl playing in an all boys team. She then moved to Fairview AFC boys and eventually to Pike Rovers FC.
Leah was part of the Munster Schools Interprovincial squad in 2023 and 2024 whilst also being selected for National Academy in 2024.
The Childer's Road native received an international Under 15 schoolgirl cap for Ireland when they beat Northern Ireland in March.
A Crescent Comprehensive School student, Leah is currently enrolled In Tempo Football Academy fulltime Transition Year Course that provides a custom educational programme for young footballers that meets national standards.
Leah attended the FAI player pathway programme summer 2025 pilot in Abbottstown, Dublin which, ran throughout July and August which gives players the opportunity to grow, perform and represent Ireland at the highest level.
More recently Leah participated in international friendlies against Czechia. The travelling squad is as follows:
