THE application process to become a volunteer at the 2027 Ryder Cup in Adare Manor will begin later this month.

The organisers of the huge tournament, which will bring tens of thousands of people to Limerick in September 2027, will be relying on an army of helpers to ensure visitors to the county have a memorable time.

And if you want to be among them, a new recruitment platform providing the information required online has been launched.
Located at www.rydercup.com/2027-volunteers, it provides information on the opportunities which are available during the tournament.

Here, you can register your interest in availing of one of the positions.

Among the opportunities on offer are marshal roles, with the organisers looking for dedicated individuals to serve in these positions.

“Marshals play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of play, managing grandstand areas, scoring, supporting and helping create an enjoyable atmosphere for all,” they added.

There are also ambassadorial roles, where people will be stationed at key locations around Adare Manor.

They will help guide visitors and answer questions among other things.

People interested in volunteering will be asked to submit a passport photograph as part of the application process, which will be managed by Bloomerang Volunteer.

They will be expected to be available for the whole of the tournament, committing to one shift per day.

It is anticipated people who apply to volunteer will find out if they will be successful via email in August, 2026.
