MUNSTER RUGBY's latest addition to their back-row, Thomas Ahern is delighted to have found new versatility after recently changed positions from second-row to number six.
The six-foot nine forward has been force to be-reckoned with since the start of the season and has been moved out to the number six position in recent fixtures for the province.
Ahern also featured in that position in their URC clash against Glasgow Warriors last week where he scored two fantastic tries out on the wing.
Speaking after the URC game, Thomas stated "I hadn't really thought about moving to number six until Graham suggested it to me and I was up for the challenge of it.
I had previously played full-back before I shot up a few inches and got moved into the second-row, but it always good to have some versatility to your game."
Munster now turn their attention to their first Champions Cup game against Bayonne this weekend in Thomond Park at 5:30pm. The game will be live on RTÉ 2 from 4:45pm.
