MUNSTER RUGBY have been dealt a huge injury concern as with stay player, RG Snyman will undergo surgery this week.
The second rower suffered a chest/shoulder injury during the World Cup final and will undergo surgery in South Africa this week.
The Munster squad are preparing at the HPC ahead of Friday’s Interpro derby away to Ulster in Belfast at 7.35pm, live on RTÉ.
In an squad update issues by the province today, another worry is Calvin Nash , who was withdrawn with a knee injury on Saturday night and will be assessed by the medical team. His availability for Friday will be determined as the week progresses.
Simon Zebo (foot) and Josh Wycherley (neck) both return to full training this week and are available for selection.
Continuing to rehab: Patrick Campbell (ankle), Roman Salanoa (knee), Mike Haley (hip), Cian Hurley (ankle/achilles), Niall Scannell (groin), Andrew Conway (knee).
In player news, returning Ireland internationals Craig Casey and Jack Crowley featured for Munster for the first time this season on Saturday night after returning to training last week.
Tadhg Beirne, Dave Kilcoyne, Jeremy Loughman, Conor Murray and Peter O’Mahony have also rejoined their Munster team-mates at the HPC following their World Cup involvement with Ireland.
