TWO UNIVERSITY of Limerick (UL) graduates got engaged on the day of one of their conferring ceremonies, marking a momentous celebration for them.
Newly graduated Charlotte Hannon said yes to Konan Heney’s proposal on a momentous day for the pair, who got engaged on Tuesday, January 21 watched on by family and friends on UL grounds.
Charlotte, 23 from Ballynacally, Clare, graduated with a degree in Intellectual Disability Nursing on Tuesday, while Konan, 22 from Cashel, Tipperary, graduated with a degree in Computer Systems this Wednesday, January 22.

More than 1,700 students are graduating from UL this week at the Winter Conferring Ceremonies.
Included over three days of ceremonies are students from the faculties of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Kemmy Business School, Education and Health Sciences, Science and Engineering and Interfaculty.
UL now boasts more than 130,000 alumni worldwide.
