CROOM Community Development Association (CCDA) hosted its Christmas Party at Croom Bingo earlier this month with a full house in attendance.
Not only was there the regular bingo and spot prizes there was also increased line prizes. In total, over €2,000 in cash prizes given out on Tuesday, December 17.
Patricia Ryan of CCDA thanked all of the volunteers who helped out through the year, from manning the tuck shop, to selling the books and calling the numbers.
She commented that “the funds raised go to the organisation which supports Croom Town Park and Croom Sports Hall, thanks to all who come and attend Croom Bingo weekly. We are delighted to have these party nights to say thanks to all the regulars and it adds an extra level of fun to the night.”
David Hurley, chair of CCDA was also on hand on the night working as a volunteer, as this was the Christmas Party Night there was lots to do, tickets for spot prizes and handing out mulled wine (non alcoholic) and mocktails.
He remarked: “It is a particularly fun night with extra cash to be won and already a very large jackpot. The jackpot has rolled over to Tuesday, January 7 and will be €6,800.”
Patricia also invited those who are new to Croom Bingo to visit Croom Town Park over the Christmas and New Year period to get a walk in.
Croom Bingo takes place at the Sports Hall on Tuesday nights and recommences Tuesday, January 7 .
