WERE YOU at day one of the ESB Science Blast 2024 in the University of Limerick?

This Tuesday marked the first day of the ESB Science Blast in Limerick, where students from far and wide came together to showcase their scientific creations as part of the annual exhibition.

A range of schools attended day one of the highly-anticipated exhibition, where all schools are awarded for their participation and get to have fun with activities, shows, DJs and more.

Over 130 projects were submitted for Limerick showcase, with 36 primary schools across Limerick city and county due to attend across the three days.

From May 21 to 23, over 3,500 students across Ireland will participate in presenting their scientific creations in the University of Limerick (UL).

Students were asked to choose a scientifically driven question to investigate, research by coming together as a class, carry out an experiment based on their question and, gather findings.

They then showcased their work in front of other schools and judges, who provide them with constructive feedback on the day.

The ESB Science Blast is delivered by the RDS and is a non-competitive education initiative which aims to encourage and facilitate the development in primary school aged children of long-term interest, understanding, knowledge and skills in STEM subjects.
