Today at the darts: Munster man to make World Championship debut
Today marks a memorable occasion for Cork native John O'Shea who will make his World Darts Championship at the Alexandra Palace.
O'Shea, 47, takes on Darius Labanauskas (Lithuania) in the first round of the tournament.
Nicknamed 'The Joker', O'Shea's biggest victory came in 2019 when he won the World Masters.
O'Shea will be in the first encounter to take to the Ally Page stage at midday (about 12.40pm).
Fellow Irishman Willie O'Connor comes up against Gabriel Clemens in the second round around 8pm tonight.
The World Darts Championship will be live on Sky Sports Darts throughout Christmas.
