WATCH: Irish players impress at NFL international combine in Indianapolis

Three Irish kickers competed in the NFL international combine in Indianapolis on Sunday chasing their American Football dream.

Monaghan's Rory Beggan, Mark Jackson of Wicklow and Charlie Smyth from Down competed in a series of drills at the Lucas Oil Stadium as part of the international player pathway (IPP) with the action ending well after midnight Irish time.

The three Irish men were included in a host college kickers looking to be included in the NFL draft in April.

Beggan and Smyth were included in one group with Jackson in the other.

The participants took a series of kicks from different distances and angles. Some of these shots were with the ball held by a pin and others with a snap and hold technique involved.

It's fair to say the Irish lads didn't look out of place.
