There was a darting surprise during Tuesday's second day of the Players Championship in Wigan when a Cork bus driver knocked Luke Littler out of the competition.
Littler, who won on his Players Championship debut on Monday, was beaten 6-5 by Radek Szaganski in the last 64 of Tuesday's tournament.
Poland native Szaganski, based in Cobh and works for Bus Éireann, was defeated by Ryan Joyce in the last 32 of the competition, which was ultimately won by "The Flying Scotsman" Gary Anderson.
The sport has gained an abundance of followers since Littler's runner-up finish at the World Darts Championship. The 17-year-old's rise to fame has seen him crowned Bahrain Masters champion last month while he has also impressed in his first two Premier League appearances.
Littler will be in Glasgow for night three of the Premier League on Thursday. Dublin's 3Arena hosts the event on March 21.
