This was a special occasion to mark the retirement of Michael Liston as General Manager of Newtownsandes Co-op. Michael came to Moyvane directly from college and later moved to two other co-ops before returning in 1967 to take over as General Manager. Newtownsandes is a credit to his dedication, it is still an independent co-op, one of the few now left in this country, pays above average price for milk, sells rations at a competitive price, takes good care of its suppliers and above all is solvent. To Michael, Marie and the Liston family thank you for your contribution to the parish.
