Ballysteen point-to-point: Under the auspices of Stonehall Harriers will be held on this Sunday, April 28, starting at 2.30pm.
As ever, this marquee fixture has attracted entries from the cream of the country’s leading owners, trainers and jockeys.
Billed as a wonderful family occassion, a new element this year will be magic and balloon modeling shows by top children’s entertainer Myster Magic. Children, who are free to attend, can also avail of a bouncy castle, face painting etc.
Full bookmaking, food and bar facilities will be on site.
Community Council Lotto: The jackpot was not won. The numbers drawn were 4, 24, 25 and 26. The lucky dip winners were Breda Hennessy, Jim Casey and Jim McKnight. Next week’s jackpot is €2,300 and the venue is Downes.

Askeaton GAA: To commemorate memorial day and The Gathering Askeaton GAA are hoping to get the history of the club together if you have any photos or documents that would be of benefit we would greatly appreacite being allowed to copy them for this venture.
Askeaton Touring Club’s 24th Charity Cycle: Askeaton Touring Club are delighted to join forces with The Down’s Syndrome Limerick Branch for our annual charity cycle. The cycle will be travelling to Nenagh for our two day cycle. All the funds raised will go towards speech therapy for 12 special adult. The charity cycle will be held on June 29-30.
