Limerick car dealership closes with loss of 19 jobs

NINETEEN jobs have been lost with the closure of Ennis Road Motors which has been placed in receivership.

NINETEEN jobs have been lost with the closure of Ennis Road Motors which has been placed in receivership.

In a statement the company, which is based in Caherdavin, said: “Due to ongoing trading and cash flow difficulties, and after considering all options, the Directors of Ennis Road Motors have today, on the instructions of our main Bank, Lombard, appointed Mr Stephen Tennant (Grant Thornton) as Receiver and manager of the business,”

The brief statement adds that OPEL is detirmined to find a new dealer for Limerick city and Clare as soon as possible.

“Despite every effort, the Directors of the company are very disappointed a financial solution could not be reached with the Bank, to secure this long established company’s future,” said director of the company, Niall O’Byrne.
