Doon Adoration Team: We urgently need Adorers on Wed. For the following hours. 3-4pm, 5-6pm & 6-7pm. If you are not already doing so & you would like to commit to spending one of the above hours with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, simply contact JohnO’Brien 380614, Mary MacCleod 380987 or Marica Mooney 380240. We are required to have at least 4 adorers per hour with the Lord. For these hours mentioned, we only have 1 adorer. The laws of the Church inform us that Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament cannot be left alone even for the briefest time.

Dancing News: Junior set dancing classes, ceili, waltz, jive, fine dancing, etc. will resume on Wednesday 8th Jan in Cappamore Community Centre at 4:15pm. Senior classes for fitness and fun at 7:45pm. For more information contact (085) 7417609

St Patricks College: wish to bring the following to people’s attention: Mr Ruairi Quinn, Minister for education & skills, has decided to allow St. Patrick’s College, Thurles to accept another intake of students on their four teacher education programmes in Sept 2014. All programmes are accredited by the University of Limerick & approved by the teaching council. Next week’s draw will take place in Whelan’s Bar with a jackpot of €16,200. 5 mile Road Run/Walk - New Years Day: Congrats & well done to everyone who took part in our 5 mile Road Run/Walk on New Year’s Day. 89 walkers & 64 runners. Male winners: 1st John Shanahan, 2nd: Ruadhari Devitt. 3rd: Kenny Curran. Female winners: 1st Dympna Ryan, 2nd: Claire Devitt, 3rd: Antoinette Coleman. Juvenile: 1st Brian McPartland, 2nd: Eddie Stokes. A cheque will be presented to PIETA House for €900.
