BEREAVEMENT: The passing of Joe Neenan, Drombanna last week caused much mourning in the parish. Joe, a gifted stone cutter, was a much respected member the community and a friend of everybody. He played hurling and gaelic football with South Liberties and his love of these sports were carried by his sons and daughters. He also had a passion for golf and he became a valuable member of Ballybunion GC.

His funeral to Donoghmore church and Raheen cemetery attracted huge crowds, showing the respect Joe enjoyed in the parish. Sincere sympathy is extended to his wife Bridgid and family.
