Coláiste Mhuire News: Annual Christmas Raffle 2013: Thank you most sincerely for your support of our Annual Christmas Raffle. We are delighted to inform you that the proceeds amounted to €3,203. As always, the money will be shared between our partner mission school in Lushoto and local charities. Míle buíochas to all those who sponsored prizes. Young Scientist: Very best of luck to Conor Daly (1st Year) who represents Coláiste Mhuire at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition this week. Conor has spent the last few months investigating whether alternate feeds can change the production of hens’ eggs?
All 1st yr students, Transition year students and students who submitted entries to this year’s exhibition will travel to Dublin on Friday to see the exhibition.
Cyberbullying Presentation: Dr Maureen Griffin will make a welcome return to Coláiste Mhuire on Monday 13th January 2014 following her very topical and eye-opening presentation on Cyberbullying last year. Dr Griffin will be presenting to all students during the day and to parents/guardians on Monday night at 7:30pm in the school. This is a presentation that every parent/guardian should hear. Maureen will share her experiences from her research and from talking to students around Ireland. Her presentation is very clear, most informative and easy to follow.
Parent/Teacher meetings: Reminder that the 5th year & Transition Year Parent/Teacher meeting takes place this Thursday, 9th January from 4.15pm-6.45pm. There will also be a short presentation for parents/guardians of Transition Year students travelling to Berlin at 5pm in the Lecture Theatre.
Parent/teacher meeting for Parents/Guardians of 2nd year students will be held on Wednesday 15th January from 4-6pm.
Parent/teacher meeting for Parents/Guardians of 1st year students will be held on Tuesday 28th January from 4.15pm-6.45pm.
