HAIR DONATION: Michaela O;Neill, aged 10, donated her hair to the Rapunzel Foundation on August 16. Michaela has been growing her hair for the last 3 years, the piece she was donating had to be at least 12 inches before it could be cut.
Michaela is a pupil in Scoil Isogain Primary School, Hospital and she is eagerly waiting to go into 5th class. The hair she donated will be sent to New Zealand where it will be transformed into a special suction wig for a child suffering from hair loss due to illness or medical treatment. The children who receive these special wigs will be able to continue with life without of the suction wig coming off.
Michaela was extremely brave and generous to part with her beautiful locks of hair and everyone who knows her is hugely proud of her. Well done Michaela.
