Annual Novena in St. Nicholas’: The Annual Novena to Our Lady of Perpetual Help commences this Friday 14th in St. Nicholas’ Church. Mass each evening will be at 7.00p.m. We look forward to a large attendance as we pray for so many intentions and take out to realise the really important things in life. A team of priests will be preaching.
Mass to honour, remember and acknowledge babies who died: A special mass of acknowledgement and remembrance will be held in St. Nicholas Church as part of the Novena for parents and families of babies who died in the womb at birth or shortly after birth. This is a mass of healing for those affected by this loss. It does not matter how long ago it was since your baby died or if the baby died as a result of miscarriage, abortion, unsuccessful IVF at birth or shortly after birth. If you feel in need of healing you are very welcome to come and share this Eucharist with your community. A letter inviting people to name and register their babies in a special book in the church will be distributed to each house shortly. Special boxes will be left in each church to return the forms with the baby’s names. We urgently need people to help with distribution of these letters. If you can help please contact Geraldine or Leo at 061 341412 .
