MORE PHOTOS: People will have another opportunity to bring along old photos on tonight, Thursday, June 13th, so get searching for those treasured photos! A great variety of photos have been scanned so far but there may be some more out there. School photos from Bruree, Rockhill and Killacolla, photos from the festivals of the sixties and seventies, work photos from the many employers and businesses in the parish down through the years, sports teams, work practices of long ago - the possibilities are endless. In the meantime, contact John Harrold or Brendan Hogan for further details or if you have a lot of photos you would like to have scanned. Anyone away from home may email photos to email@example.com. Come along to Bruree National School between 7.00 and 9.00 pm with your photos. They will be scanned on the spot, without causing any damage whatsoever to the original, and given back to the owner.

Feile: Over the last number of weeks, the preparations for Feile have really kicked into action in the club. We now know who we are hosting (Coolera/Strandhill from Sligo). Contact with the club has been established and they are really looking forward to joining us for what promises to be a great week.
Host Families: Firstly, thanks to everyone who has offered to host the visiting team. We are however short two families to host and I would like to ask again if there is anyone willing to take in two players for the Friday and Saturday we would greatly appreciate it. Please contact me or any of the officers of the club by the weekend as we will have to get back to Strandhill if we cannot accommodate all their squad.
As we get closer to the event we will be in contact again to update you on progress and with a calendar for the events of the weekend.
Cul Camp: This year’s Cul Camp will take place from July 8th to 12th to facilitate the Feile the previous weekend. Our Cul Camp Organiser is Michael Lyons (086)8232857 and he can be contacted to book your child into this camp or alternatively you can register throughwww.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie and remember to select “Bruree” as the location.
Under 14s: Our Under 14s have started this year’s championship in both Football and Hurling with good performances against Caherconlish (Football) and Glenroe (Hurling). Many of the squad had played Under 15 in the leadup to this competition and it seems to have stood to them as they hit the ground running, putting up big scores against both opposition. In the opening game against Caherconlish we had stand out performances from Owen Carey, Cathal Barrington, Gearoid McCarthy and Sean Quirke. In the second game against Glenroe Sean Quirke led the scoring with a goal and eight points with Owen Carey, Jimmy Leslie-Madigan, David O’Connell and Jonathan Fitzpatrick putting in a good evening’s work.
