ST ANTHONY’S RELIC: The Franciscan Friars invite you to join them in welcoming St. Anthony of Padua, on the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the discovery of St Anthony’s Relics by St. Bonaventure. St Anthony will be visiting in the form of two precious relics from his Basilica in Padua, Italy. In Limerick the dates are: Monday 21 October in St. John’s Cathedral, 10am mass, 11am to 6.30pm veneration. 7pm mass, 8pm – 10pm veneration.

LIMERICK DIOCESE CHILD PROTECTION POLICY SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN: Was launched on Thursday last. Each pastoral area is asked to hold a briefing meeting. Our meeting will be held on Tuesday October 23 at 8pm, in Croom National School Hall. Representatives from the following are asked to attend. Baptismal Group; Choir; Eucharistic Ministers; Readers; Youth Groups and the Sacristan. Please hand your name in at the sacristy, if you are attending.

BEREAVEMENT: The death occurred recently of Philomena Lawlor (nee Manning), Croom and formerly of Ballinagarde and Clohessy Park, Fedamore. Reposal took place in Daffy’s Funeral Home, Croom, and took place in Fedamore Cemetery. Sympathy is extended to her family, relatives and many friends.
