It was the first time that Limerick had participants in the Judo competition and the boys and girls are all members of the local Judo club run by James Bourke at the “Teach”, Cloverfield each week. Those competing were Aislinn O’Dea, Abi Cosgrave, Niamh O’Dea, Jake O’Riordan, Eoghan O’Dea, Shane Dwane and Calvin Murphy. All put up great performances and Aislinn O’Dea, Niamh O’Dea and Eoghan O’Dea were all winners in their categories and will now go forward to represent Limerick and Munster at the National Finals to be held in Athlone at the end of May.
