Limerick Animal Welfare appeals for new home for greiving pet after owner's death

The dog 'Gordon' is currently being cared for in kennels

COMEDY duo the Rubberbandits are supporting a public appeal to find a new home for a grieving dog following the death of his owner.

Limerick Animal Welfare has posted a photograph of the dog, named Gordon, on social media.

“Gordon is looking so sad as his beloved owner has died and he is in kennels waiting for a home,” reads the post which is seeking help in locating a new home for the little pet.

Hundreds of people have viewed and shared the post in the hope of finding little Gordon a new home as soon as possible.

In a post on Twitter this Sunday afternoon, the Rubberbandits also appealed for support.

“Can someone in Limerick please give this poor sad old boy a loving and caring home. He’s grieving for his owner and it’s piercing me to my core,” they wrote.

Limerick Animal Welfare can be contacted at 087 6371044 between 9am and 5pm.
