A student is spreading the love around Limerick city this Valentines’s Day by publicly displaying some of her custom-made fashion knitwear.

Ciara Perlman – a student at Limerick School of Art and Design – placed items of knitwear at several locations around the city early this Thursday morning and says she will continue to do so for the remainder of the day.

“Spread the love, Happy Valentine's Day. If you find me and need me, take me or pass it on to someone you love,”  read one hand written note which was hanging with one of her knitted creations on railings at O’Connell Street.

“I just wanted everyone to know they are loved and not alone even if it makes someone smile for one minute I’ve achieved what I have set out to do,” Ciara told the Limerick Leader.
