Road closure in Limerick village following house fire

Road closure in Limerick village following house fire

The alarm was raised shortly before 5am this Sunday

TRAFFIC restrictions remain in place in Bruff as emergency services are at the scene of a house fire in the village.

The alarm was raised shortly before 5am this Sunday after the blaze was spotted at a vacant property on Limerick side of Bruff.

Three units from Kilmallock Fire Station and one from Charleville are in attendance.

It's understood the property, which has been extensively damaged, is a thatched cottage which was not occupied at the time.

Nobody was injured in the fire and foul play is not suspected.

Gardai say diversions are in place on the Bruff Line but that the road is expected to full re-open this afternoon.
