Limerick punters beat Euromillions odds with bets at same store

The two bets were placed at the same BoyleSports store in County Limerick

TWO Limerick punters beat the odds at the same store by winning four-figure sums after placing miminal bets on the outcome of the Euromillions draw.

The anonymous punters placed separate bets in a BoyleSports shop in County Limerick on Tuesday.

The first placed 20cent on numbers 5, 6, 28 and 32 to come out at mammoth odds of 33,000/1.

The tiny sake transformed into €6,600.20 when all four numbers came up in the Euromillions Plus draw.

The second punter took aim at 1,500/1 odds for just three numbers, but invested €5 in 11, 28 and 32 all coming out. He or she bagged a prize of €7,505.

With both ambitious bets right on the money, the run of numbers ended up costing BoyleSports a total of €14,105.20 from the combined stakes of €5.20 from the two lucky customers.

“We suffered a classic case of lightening striking twice this week in Limerick and we have to congratulate the pair of lucky customers for their big wins. They weren’t shy in taking on the big odds on our Lotto markets and we hope they enjoy their spending,” Lawrence Lyons of BoyleSports.
