Teenager sustains broken jaw in Limerick assault

Gardai at Henry Street are investigating the incident

INFORMATION is being sought after a teenager sustained serious facial injuries when he was assaulted during an incident in the city centre.

The 18-year-old suffered a broken jaw after he was struck by another male at Cornmarkert Row in the early hours of last Thursday – October 11.

He was treated at University Hospital Limerick bit has since been discharged.

“This assault happened between 1am and 1.30am. If anybody witnessed this assault or knows anything about it could they contact gardai at Henry Street,” said a garda spokesperson.

Gardai have spoken to a number of people who were in the area around the time of the incident and they have also obtained CCTV as part of their investigations.
