Hundreds of households in Limerick experiencing water disruptions due to burst main

A burst water main is causing water outages in Limerick this morning.

HUNDREDS of households in Limerick are experiencing water outages this Monday morning due to a burst water main.

Homes in Raheen, Dooradoyle, Ballycummin and the surrounding areas are experiencing disruptions and outages in their water supply after a pipe burst by Raheen Church.

Irish Water said that crews are working to restore supply to all affected areas as soon as possible.

“If you need to contact us about this supply and service alert, please quote this unique alert reference number: LIM019011.”

The burst pipe had led to hazardous driving conditions due to excess surface water and traffic in the area is heavy as a result.

Meanwhile, a truck breakdown at the Killmallock roundabout is also contributing to heavy traffic this Monday morning.
