Sunday morning saw the U10 boys Indoor soccer team head to Fulflex in Galvone for the County semi-final of this competition. The boys played a great match winning their semi-final against Bruree Rockhill 6-2. There was great excitement as the final began against Caherdavin. The teams were very evenly matched and the half-time score of 4-4 meant that it was anybody’s game. However, the final whistle saw Caherdavin just a goal ahead 8-7 , leaving our lads with the silver medals. This is a great achievement for our area and we are extremely proud of the panel made up of Ryan Hanley, Charlie Holmes, Kephas Purcell McCarthy, Evan McCarthy, Jake McNamara Leamy, Jake O’Riordan, Oran O’Dea and Patrick O’Dea. Many thanks to Noel and John O’Dea and Anthony McCarthy who coached the team.
