CHURCH READERS: The following are the readers at masses this weekend, Sean O’ Riordan the 7pm on Saturday evening, and Mary O’ Sullivan at the 10am on Sunday morning.
CHOIR: The National School Choir and musicians will perform at the 7pm mass on this Saturday night November 30th, it is planned to have the choir perform on the last Saturday of the month, the children now go into rehearsals for the School Concert next month.
COMMUNITY CENTRE: The Centre has been very busy over recent months, children’s Hip-hop dancing on Friday nights has concluded, Yoga classes on Monday nights conclude this week, and the Bike Maintenance course finished up on last Saturday evening, meetings of various organisations are ongoing, the Drama Group have commenced rehearsals and will be ongoing over the coming months.
COLD SPELL: Hard night frosts have put an end to all growth which was exceptional, grass is still in some fields and animals are happily making the most of it before being confined to sheds for the remainder of the Winter.
WALKS: Ballyhoura Bears walking club have a joint “A” walk with Galty Walking club on this Sunday December 1st, about 5hours walking, meet at Galty Castle Wood at 10am, information from 085-174 3067.
The “B” walk on Sunday is from Kilfinane at 11am, contact 087-656 9224.
The night walk on this Thursday is from Garryarthur at 7.30, and Saturday’s “C” walk starts from the Community Centre, Ardpatrick at 11am.
