He is pre deceased by daughter Carmel and survived by wife Claire, sons Stephen, Paul, Edmund, Mark and daughter Ann Marie, son in law, grandchildren, mother in law, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
His remains Reposed at Downey’s Funeral Home, Pallaskenry on Tuesday with removal to St John the Baptist Church, Kilcornan where Requiem Mass was held on Wednesday at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Kilcornan Cemetery. May he rest in peace.
G.I.Y.: Limerick West G.I.Y. with the aim of inspiring people to grow their own food goes back indoors for the next few months as we return to D & M Garden Centre, Croagh on Thursday 19th September where the subject for discussion will be The Winter Garden and Perennial Vegetables. The meeting will start at 7.00pm sharp and all are welcome from the beginner to the experienced old hand. As with all GIY meetings there is no charge to join in.
SALESIAN COLLEGE: Congratulations to Colin Ryan our maths teacher and hurling coach of our student hurling teams on a brilliant performance with the Clare Hurling Team in the All Ireland Final against Cork. We wish Colin the very best in the replay in three weeks time. All the teachers and students are very proud of Colin in his achievement of reaching the All Ireland Hurling Final.
