SEISIÚN AT THE HERITAGE CENTRE: Seisiún, the weekly traditional music summer show sponsored by Comhaltas Ceoltoirí Éireann, will be hosted by the Murroe/Cappamore branch every Tuesday night at the Heritage Centre in Adare at 8.30pm until August 7. This is a professionally produced stage presentation featuring some of the best musicians, singers and dancers in the area. It is an ideal show to bring along any visitors to experience authentic traditional cultural entertainment. Comhaltas is partnered with the Gathering 2013. All are very welcome
RED CROSS CHIROPODY CLINIC: The Red Cross Chiropody Clinic will be held on Thursday July 18 in the Methodist hall from 1pm to 3.30 pm.
LIMERICK WEST GIY: Limerick West GIY, with the aim of inspiring people to grow their own food, goes on the road for the next few months. This month we will pay a visit Rachel O’Grady’s in Askeaton on Thursday 18 July with meeting time for the garden tour scheduled for 7pm. Rachel has both fruit and vegetable areas. Rachel is a very experienced organic grower and is always willing to share her knowledge. If you plan to attend and need directions please text your name to 0879918956. PARISH WEBSITE:www.adareparish.ie has news of the parish, schools, marriage information, etc. It is a very comprehensive website with a lot of local parish information. There will also be a virtual tour of the church upon completion of the restoration project.
ADARE MARKET: Adare County Market is held every Saturday from 10am to 2pm in front of the Village Hall. There are a wide variety of artisan, homemade goods for sale which including Fresh Fruit and Vegetables, Home Baking, Handknits, Handmade Greeting Cards and Jewellery, Free Range Eggs, Homemade Jams (Seasonal), Handmade Crafts including an Alterations Service.
