LOCAL BROTHERS LAUNCH ALBUM OF POETRY AND MUSIC: On Thursday, February 28th Mike and Austin Durack will launch “The Secret Chord” at 8pm in Wood Brothers, Killaloe.

The Secret Chord is an album with a difference – an amalgam of poetry and music by the brothers Mike and Austin Durack who are natives of Birdhill, Co Tipperary but currently resident in Ballina and O’Briensbridge respectively. In making this album they are renewing a collaboration dating back to the late 1960s when they teamed up in a folk group named The Prodigal Sons.

The album features twelve poems by Mike and a string of instrumental originals by Austin with numerous verbal and musical nods to popular music classics and traditional tunes.
