CRECORA-PATRICKSWELL COMMUNITY GAMES: Congratulations to the Crecora Patrickswell U11 Tag Rugby squad who represented Munster and returned home from the National Finals in Athlone this weekend as the new 2013 All Ireland Champions!. They played 2 very difficult games against Connaught in the Semi-finals and Leinster in the finals and their efforts were nothing short of heroic. This is an outstanding result from a particularly young group of players in their category which proves that ‘hard’ work and ‘team’ work pays off in the end. Thank you to the children, coaches and families for their commitment, hard work and support. Job well done.

COUNTY FLEADH CHÉOIL: proof of the huge depth of musical talent in our area was once again evident again last weekend at the County Fleadh Chéoil, which was held in Mary Immaculate College. There were literally dozens of children, and teenagers from this area taking part in the competition, and as always, many of them were among the prize winners. Please check the Comhaltas notes elsewhere in this paper for the full list of medal winners. We wish them all very best of luck as they progress to the Munster Fleadh, which will this year, be held locally in UL.
