CRECORA CAMOGIE CLUB: congratulates its junior team who recorded a great win over near neighbours Ballybrown last weekend. Played in arctic conditions, this was a hard-earned win (coming from behind) over an accomplished team who rarely afford us a victory. Schools Quiz: Congratulations to the under-13 quiz team from St. Nessan’s National School, Mungret, who performed so well to win the recent Chapter Final of the Credit Unions School Quiz. The team of Darragh O’Brien, Jordan Hennessy, Karin Mason & Shane Barry will now represent their school and MPCC Credit Union in the National Final, which takes place in the RDS in Dublin on Sunday, April 7th. Over 25,000 school children under the age of 13 began the competition in over 300 venues throughout the 32 counties of Ireland making it one of the most popular and successful promotions undertaken by the credit union movement. Only 400 children, making up 100 teams have made it through to the grand final, therefore it is a great achievement for the team.
