Lattin/Cullen GAA News: At a recent meeting of the club the following votes of sympathy were passed; the family of the late Sheila O’Ryan, Ballinleenty, the family of the late John O’Neill Ballinleenty and Clonmel, the family of the late John Staunton, Ardavillane, the family of the late John Slattery, Lisvernane.
A monster progressive 45 drive with a prize fund of €750 will be held in The G.A.A. Hall, Lattin on Good Friday night at 9.30pm. Admission is €10.
Hurling and football training continues each Wednesday and Friday night in Lisvernane. Ball work at 7.30 sharp followed by fitness training from 8pm to 9pm. Anyone interested in playing hurling or football at minor, u21, junior, intermediate or senior level is welcome.
Soccer:Pride of place this week must go to the St David’s U.11 team and management of Barry Martin and Ger Ryan which won the County Division One title last weekend in Bilboa with a 2 -1 victory over Donohill. The goals were scored by Jack Ryan and Tony O’Neill. The squad included Liam Downey, Kieran O’Sullivan, Diarmuid Looby, Jack Hallahan, Darren Heuston, Cian O’Donovan, Tony O’Neill, Jack Ryan, Cian Martin, Mikey Buckley, Ben Murphy, Anthony Fitzgerald, Connor Buckley, Connor O’Grady, Sam Quinn and Nathan Carroll.
The Junior A Team had its poorest outing of the season when conceding four goals within the first twenty-five minutes in a comprehensive 4 -0 home defeat to Cahir Park.
Summer camp: Application forms for St David’s summer camp will be delivered to local schools on Monday, April 8 and will be collected again on the following Friday. A deposit of €20 should be returned with the application form. The total cost per child is €55, with reductions for same family members.
