The reader for Mass this Sunday morning in Raheenagh is Michael Keating with Eucharistic Minister Margaret Harnett and Joan King and basket collector Patsy Cunningham.
CEILI: The monthly Ceili in February at Halla Tadhg Gaelach Tournafulla is scheduled for Friday February 14th (St Valentine’s) to the music of Striolan. The evening will commence at 9:30pm and also light refreshments for all. All are welcome to waltz along with your Valentine or perhaps you may meet them there.
CHESHIRE HOME: The annual walk in aid of Rathfredagh Cheshire Home takes place the last Sunday in January (i.e 26th) as is the norm. The walk will commence at the top of Barna walking the railway line to Newcastle West and from there to Rathfredagh via Laceys cross and the Bruff Line. Transport will be available from Newcastle West to Rathfredagh for all that require same and kickoff is at 10am. All support shall be deeply appreciated.
SET DANCING CLUB: The West Limerick Set Dancing club report that the Annual Set Dancing Club Workshop weekend with workshop tutor Maureen Culleton takes place from February 7 to February 9 at The Devon Inn Templeglantine. The Friday, Saturday and Sunday are ceili nights with Johnny Reidy, Striolan and Taylor’s Cross. A trad’s dream weekend.
CONCERT: A Showband Years concert hosted by Ronan Collins will take place at the University Concert Hall, UL, on this Saturday January 18. Artists appearing include Brendan Bowyer, Gina from the Champions, Dickie Rock and lots more. Ronan Collins will also sing Joe Dolan songs. TICKETS: Limerick County G.A.A. Board announce that the annual season tickets for the 2014 season are now available. This pass covers entry to all the games under the jurisdiction of the Limerick Co. Board. Club offers and cost the same as 2013 the latter €100. These are available from any club officer of the Gaelic Grounds.
