TIDY TOWNS: Nice to see that the flower containers on the railings at Drumgeely have been filled with winter flowering plants.

BINGO: This Thursday night in the Oakwood Arms Hotel at 8pm, proceeds in aid of St Senan’s National School, Drumgeely.

BONFIRE FALLOUT: Question: Why was the bonfire allowed to be lit on the green space at the foot of Tullyglass Hill? Each year it takes almost 12 months for the grass to recover. It is amazing that the authorities nor the Councillors, Town or County, prevent this from taking place. How do people feel at this time of Property Tax of knowing that monies will have to be spent on removing the trollies, debris etc. from the site!

REMEMBRANCE MASS: A Mass for Children who have died at any stage of life will take place in SS John & Paul Church on this Saturday afternoon at 3pm.

LEGAL CLINIC: The next free legal advice clinic will be held on Monday November 25 at the community office from 5.15pm to 5.45pm Please attend at 5.15pm to ensure being seen by a solicitor. No appointment to necessary.

CONGRATS: Best of luck to Orla Walsh who has become the new co-presenter of the RTE News2Day TV programme. Orla is daughter of retired Principal, Joe Walsh and Brid Harnett founder of Eclipse Drama School.

STORYTIME: A nice time of year to take the children to the Library. Storytime for children aged four to six takes place every Tuesday afternoon at 4pm.

GRAVEYARDS: The annual blessing of graves was on Sunday afternoon and a large number of people attended both cemeteries.

PLAY: Well done to all those who were involved in the Muse production of Wyrd Sisters last week, it was great to see new members in the cast.

MONTHS MIND: The months mind mass for Nancy Quinn, Finian Park will be on Sunday at 12.15 in SS John & Paul church.

FIRST ANNIVERSARY: First Anniversary Masses this weekend for Denis Ryan, Ballycasey and Terry Hannam, Purcell Park on Saturday at 6.30pm in SS John & Paul church.

POLISH MASS: The next mass in Polish will take place at 5pm on this Sunday evening at 5pm in in SS John & Paul Church with Confessions from 4.30pm.

ST CONAIRES: The pupils from First Holy Communion class will take part in the Preparation Mass at the 10am on Sunday in SS John & Paul.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT: An Active Retirement Ireland Open Day will take place in the Oakwood Arms Hotel, on Wednesday morning from 11am to 1pm. WOLFE TONES: Wolfe Tones are holding a Celebration night for all the Juvenile County Finalists teams of 2013 on Friday night November 22. Both the Liam McCarthy and U21 Trophies will be on display and also players from both Clare’s All-Ireland winning teams will be there on the night.
