Milford Hospice Harvest Fair: The Milford Hospice 28th Annual Harvest Fair is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 1st. The Harvest Fair is moving to a new location this year and is taking place at the U.L. Arena. Donations of confectionary will be gratefully accepted on the grounds of U.L. on the day of the Harvest Fair.

Monaleen GAA Notes: Juvenile hurling / football coaching volunteers needed! Our new intake of players (senior infants class and older) will be starting in early September and we would ask for parents to come along and help out whenever possible. No coaching experience necessary as there will be experienced coaches on-hand to guide. Exact commencement dates in September for the new starts will be posted in the coming week on the Monaleen GAA website or send an email to for more details.

Irish Dance Classes: Ui Bhriain Irish dance classes in Monaleen National School. ‘Learn to dance for fun and fitness’. The classes start mid September and run every Wed from 2.45pm to 3.45pm in the School hall. Please contact Sharon O Brien on 086 8511460 or

Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoigh: Two classes of Junior Infants commmenced their primary school education in Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoigh on Friday. New entrants and returning pupils were warmly welcomed and we wish them well for the forthcoming school year. Go n-éirí go geal leo. Enrolment forms for Gaelscoil Chaladh an Treoigh are available from the school website or from the school office.
