Mass in Loughill Graveyard: Mass was celebrated in Loughill Graveyard Thursday evening last 22nd. August by Fr. O’Leary and Fr. Michael O’Connor. It was a beautiful evening perfect for an open air mass. There was a great crowd present – eighty people and more present from far and near. This is always a great opportunity for people from the parish to come back and visit the resting place of their loved ones and it also gives them a chance to meet and chat with friends and relations. The graveyard was looking great. We have to say a big thank you to Gerard Reidy and our Tus workers because they keep the graveyard very well maintained . The grass is cut on a regular basis and the place is always neat and clean which enables people t walk all around the graveyard. This is a big commitment because the graveyard is maintained the whole year. Fr. O’Leary gave the homily and he thanked everyone for all the work done organising this mass every year.
