LECTURE : A lecture on South Liberties GAA 1884 to 1946 was given by given by Tom Toomey at the courthouse in Ballyneety last Wednesday evening. There was a nice turn out, all enjoyed the talk regarding the foundation of the Liberties back in May 1884 to the winning of the Limerick junior hurling in 1946.

There was a nice turn out, all enjoyed the talk regarding the foundation of the Liberties back in May 1884 to the winning of the Limerick junior hurling in 1946.

BEREAVEMENT: The Passing of Eddie Baggott, Ballyhall, Roscrea and formerly of Raheen, Ballyneety, was mourned last week. Eddie was 59 years of age when he died after a long illness. His funeral was in Knockea church and Castlemungret cemetery. He is survived by Helen, sons and daughters brother Willie and sister Mary.
